How It Works
A specialized gel pad is applied to the treatment area in order to protect the skin. Then the cold plate applicator is applied to the treatment area and the procedure begins.
The CoolSculpting applicator safely delivers controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin. Fat cells under the treatment area are frozen leaving it to your body to process the dead fat.
What Can I Expect?
During the Procedure
During the procedure you may feel intense cold at the start, however this usually subsides within 5 to 10 minutes as the area numbs. If a vacuum-based applicator is used, you may also feel some pulling, tugging, and/or mild pinching.
After the Procedure
Most patients can return to their normal activities immediately after the CoolSculpting procedure. Some patients see the results as early as three weeks while the most dramatic results are seen between one to three months after the treatment.
